Although NetherRealm Studios released a trailer confirming Catwoman in Injustice 2 about a couple of months ago, the game developer has decided to give the sometimes hero and occasional ne'er-do-well the spotlight with a gameplay video all her own, showing off her fast and ferocious move set. As is to be expected by fans of Selina Kyle (AKA Catwoman), she can fend for herself quite well against DC's iconic stable of heroes and villains by relying on speed, agility, and quick combos.

As seen in the Injustice 2 trailer below, Catwoman goes toe-to-toe with the likes of Harley Quinn, Batman, and Poison Ivy, and ends up making quick work of them by leaping around the stage, kicking and clawing at them with speedy offensive combinations, and even utilizing her whip for useful distance attacks. Not to mention, her super ability dishes out a devastating dose of damage as she grabs opponents by the ankles with her whip, hops on her motorcycle, drags them for a while, and drops the bike on top of them for an explosive finish.

Interestingly enough, Catwoman isn't the only feline-friendly character that will be making their way into Injustice 2, as NetherRealm Studios has also confirmed that the game will include Dr. Barbara Minerva, AKA The Cheetah. Much like Catwoman, Cheetah relies on speed and agility to defeat her foes, but of course, as opposed to Selina Kyle's move set, Cheetah's relies on supernatural strength as well.

While Catwoman walks the line in between hero and villain in the DC universe, NetherRealm Studios definitely has a slew of true baddies planned to be released in Injustice 2 once the title comes out later this year. As it happens, one of the company's most recent trailers for the fighting game revealed Captain Cold and Scarecrow as additions to the roster, both of which are purely antagonists.

Taking all of this into consideration, NetherRealm Studios could be coming close to the end of its reveals for characters in Injustice 2, especially since the game is due out in a little less than two months from now. Nevertheless, as Injustice 2 creative director Ed Boon has teased in the past, the company intends on incorporating a lot of obscure heroes and villains from the DC universe, so there could still be a few more surprise additions to the roster before the game drops in May.

Injustice 2 is slated to release on May 16, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
