It's no secret that even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a massive success, it's also a game that suffers from numerous bugs and glitches. In a highly competitive mode like Warzone, the slightest issue can be the difference between life and death especially as the circle gets smaller. As the gas closes in, use the the gas mask becomes paramount which has started to raise a number of new issues for players.

Discovered earlier this month, Call of Duty: Warzone players have come across a new glitch that makes the gas mask unbreakable. Thankfully, Infinity Ward has taken notice of the issue and added the issue to its Issue Tracker board. Currently, the issue is listed as being in progress, though an estimated fix date isn't given.

The glitch was originally discovered by Vikram “Vikkstar” Singh Barn and Thomas “Tommey” Trewren during a stream. As Tommey ran into the gas to retrieve some items, he realized that his gas mask, which had been highly damaged and on the verge of breaking, wasn't actually falling apart at all as he was in the gas. Instead, he remained inside the gas to see how long this unbreakable mask would survive for, a time that eventually ended up at over 5 minutes.

What makes this bug challenging to replicate is that it's unknown what causes it and therefore is pretty rare. Some players in the community have begun to theorize that the bug stems from the interaction with loot right at the moment that the gas mask is about to break. The major issue with this bug is that if it does pop up and the player is aware, they can earn an easy win just by heading right into the toxic gas and waiting out the other players dying.

As Infinity Ward continues to track and fix the various bugs and glitches that pop up, reports have started to come in regarding another issue that may be more difficult to fix. Players have taken to social media to report that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is making some PlayStation 4 consoles overheat and force the system to shut down. Players have speculated that the lobby screen is the culprit, believing it to have an uncapped framerate which makes the consoles work harder than normal. With fans already upset over the game's increasing hard drive space requirements, this is another issue that won't be sitting well with the community.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
