Indivisible has been out for a couple of weeks now, but there are still a lot of factors to the game that are being discovered. What exactly turns the damage numbers from white to gold? Why exactly do the Bond Levels influence? Where are all the hidden bosses? Indivisible is a pretty chunky game to be coming from an indie company after all. There are 20 characters to collect, 7 zones with incredibly complex maps, 108 different upgrade materials to collect (that we know of), and about 10-15 different platforming abilities. All these factors combined with the lack of in-depth information means that players are desperate for info, from any source, and we're here to help!

10 This Isn't Some Sort Of "Button-Masher"

Contrary to what people might think, Indivisible's 4-character setup is not meant for button mashing. The game is made by renowned fighting game gurus Lab Zero who created Skullgirls, so the combat obviously has intention behind every single frame of animation. That said, slamming your hand on the control until you're out of Action Points will work to a certain extent, the characters will do moves, and probably a fair bit of damage as well. But, it's just an easy way to rob yourself of the deeply fun and relatively complex combo system Indivisible has implemented, so do yourself a favor and attack with intention.

9 Juggling Is A Necessary Skill

Speaking of attacking intentionally, the best example of well-thought-out attacks is the act of juggling. This is when multiple attacks come in so frequently, or so perfectly timed, that the enemy doesn't even get the chance to land. And, shocking no one, Invdivisible puts a lot of emphasis on Juggling. For one, it generates Iddhi, which is the super meter energy source, more often than a normal combo. Also, Juggling just generally leads to higher damage! Whether it's letting players chain attacks together easier or it might actually add a damage modifier as well (we're still not entirely sure).

8 Experimentation And Synergizing Is Absolutely Key

Each and every single character in Indivisible plays pretty differently and has unique mechanics. Razmi can slow enemies, Kushi can fly with Altun, Dhar stacks damage modifiers, Zahra plays music to buff her friends, and Lanshi can be stroked for extra Iddhi. And that's just a few examples! All of the characters are unique in their own right. So, our biggest tip is to use every character for at least a few battles, and in a few different configurations. See if Thorani's puddles are fun to use for you, test if Zebei's arrows feel weak, maybe even try Baozhai's money-stealing tactics to see if they're something enjoyable to keep track of.

7 The Combo Mentality Applies To Supers As Well

For some reason, many players are saving their supers until the end of a combo, and only using one. But, once Anja unlocks multiple levels of super, there's no reason to save them to be used only as an ender. Most Incarnations can use a few different supers, and they can easily be chained one after another. For example,  Naga Rider's two-bar super works great as a preface to Ajna's two-bar. Just like how Lab Zero expects its players to learn how to combo with their Incarnations, we know they expect players to play around with chaining supers together as well.

6 Super's Have Multiple Effects And Uses Depending On Iddhi Amount

And, speaking of supers, most if not all the incarnations have multiple levels of supers that do different things. Naga Rider, for example, has a level 1, 2, and 3 super. His level 1 is an AoE attack, his level 2 is a single target, and his level 3 is technically an AoE as well with a smaller hitbox.

All of them do different amounts of damage, some of them launch enemies, while others send them flying backward. Basically, our tip is to experiment in the training area or in battles with all the supers. Honestly, it varies from character to character. For example, Razmi has three different supers, but Qadira only has one that does more damage at each level. And, characters like Leilani, Phoebe, and Yan don't even have a single super to their name.

5 Don't Worry About Levels Or Hearts Too Much

One of the biggest hurdles for us at the beginning of Indivisible was the "Bond" meter that all the Incarnations had. We just couldn't figure it out! For example, Dhar's bond starts out as a negative number because he literally murdered Anja's dad. But, Razmi's starts out pretty high because she and Ajna get along quite easily. Yet they both do similar damage in the early game. This Bond gauge is basically the character's level, but it doesn't impact damage quite as much as one would expect, and the game catches characters up pretty heavily. Next time you get a new Incarnation, take them into a battle, you'll notice their bond will go up by like 10-15 after just one battle. And, sooner rather than later, their bond will be almost the same as the rest of the party's.

4 Master The Parrying System ASAP

Parries are one of the first aspects tutorialized in Indivisible. Indr really pushes this "Flowering Defense" ideology into Ajna before he dashes away to die off-screen. But, as important as the game makes them sound, Perfect Parries are even more important than that. Especially for the last boss. Parries are a perfect way to start a battle from the overworld since Anja has multiple ways to follow up a parry into a battle. Parries regain health after a certain point in the game. And, they even stop characters from dying altogether. Even at 1HP Anja can stay alive forever as long as she's constantly perfect parrying every attack. So, learn how to nail that timing as soon as possible!

3 EXP Share Is There By Default

Along with the easy-catchup leveling, Incarnations also gain passive EXP from every battle. Player's should notice that weirdly all of their Incarnations are never too far away in level from each other and that they're always relatively around the same level as Ajna's current party.

That's because of the passive EXP gain! In fact, it's about 1/3 the amount active battlers get, and it makes it all the easier to switch Incarnations out at any time for experimentation, which is perfect. Additionally, it also keeps an individual's favorite Incarnations a little bit stronger so that players feel like their favorites are stronger than the rest. So there's no reason not to experiment!

2 Keep Fights Away From Inclined Ground Or Spikes

One of the coolest parts of Indivisible is that all the battles take place within the overworld, it's not like Pokemon where a battle starts and all associated parties are teleported to the "Battle Zone". No, wherever Ajna punches that Ramen Monster, that's where she'll fight them. Even if she manages to knock them onto spikes, into some water, or off the map completely. Basically, our tip is to be aware of the terrain before starting a fight. There have been too many times while playing that we've started combat only to have our far back character get stuck into a loop of falling and reappearing. And, that's not even counting all the time's enemies have fallen into spikes, yanked us out of the battle screen, or made it impossible to fight them without reloading the game. So save yourself a bit of annoyance and just be careful.

1 Do Every Sidequest That Comes Up

There are tons of side quests in Indivisible. And by tons, we mean literally one for every Incarnation and then some. Basically, this is where players will found out about party member backstories. Some of them are pretty boring, while others are complex and interesting. But, they shouldn't be ignored. Why? Well for one, completing the Incarnation ones unlocks their Alternate Color #4. Secondly, a lot of where the sidequests take you are areas where Ajna can find tons of Ringsels! And lastly, more boss fights means more chances to level up. Just remember that there is a map icon for where the Quest Triggers are, so there's no need to aimlessly search zones.
