A year after receiving her sixth and final ban from Twitch, popular streamer Jenelle "Indiefoxx" Dagres publicly shared the reasoning behind her permanent ban. All of Indiefoxx's bans were received within the first six months of 2021, culminating in her Twitch partnership loss and removal from the streaming platform. Twitch does not publicly disclose the reasoning behind bans and so banned Twitch streamers have to take it upon themselves to inform their fans. While fans were speculating on the reasoning behind the sixth ban which resulted in the permanent ban, Indiefoxx had previously refused to comment on what led Twitch to take action.

Indiefoxx's streams exploded in popularity early in 2021 through frequent ASMR and hot tub streams. The sudden rise in popularity, including an incredible gain of over 2 million followers in just one month, brought more eyes than ever before to the controversial streams. Other streamers, such as TheDanDangler, have run afoul of Twitch policy while running hot tub streams, though Indiefoxx is one of the few to be permanently banned.

While a guest on a podcast this week, Indiefoxx finally confirmed what led to the fateful Twitch ban. According to her, while hosting an ASMR stream, she suffered a wardrobe malfunction that was caught on stream. Indiefoxx defended the wardrobe malfunction by stating that if she was an employee of a company and lost her job for a similar wardrobe malfunction, Human Resources would have to get involved. While other Twitch streamers received bans for indecent attire wearing bikinis or similar outfits, Indiefoxx was wearing yoga pants when the incident took place.

Banned Twitch streamer Indieefoxx

Since being banned from Twitch, Indiefoxx has attempted to appeal the platform for re-instatement. After over a year of filing appeals, Indiefoxx accused Twitch of ignoring her request. With no ability to utilize Twitch, Indiefoxx turned to other social media platforms and rebuilt her substantial following under the new handle JenFoxxUwUm. Other streamers, such as Amouranth, have been able to build viable businesses and followings away from Twitch, making Indiefoxx just the latest in a long line of streamers to diversify her personal brand.

Twitch streamer Hasan went on the record explaining what would get him to leave the streaming platform. Banned streamers like Indiefoxx have no choice but to rebuild away from the platform. The fans have followed Indiefoxx to other platforms as the banned streamer has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and 465,000 on TikTok.
