Battlefield 2042 is a game that got off to a rough start. With technical issues, bugs, and glitches plaguing the experience of many players since launch, it has been hard for some to find enjoyment within the game and has led to the developers at DICE scrambling to fix as much as possible within the game before the holiday period. As is ever the case with bugs and glitches, some are harmless and can cause funny moments, whereas others are less enjoyable, and can end up giving players unfair advantages or disadvantages, such as one glitch that allowed a Battlefield 2042 player to become invisible to enemies.

However, this does not mean that Battlefield 2042 is a dry, boring experience where nothing of interest happens. Many players are still finding ways to pull off incredible plays and entertaining moments within DICE's latest shooter. Some are even finding using the technical issues of the game to their advantage. From using hovercrafts to climb up the sides of skyscrapers, to dodging missiles by drifting a truck, some of the less-polished elements of Battlefield 2042 are granting players the "Battlefield moments" that made up much of the game's marketing.

It's not all drifting cars and blowing things up though, sometimes it's best to sit back, relax, and headshot an enemy from over 2000m. This is what one player managed to accomplish within Battlefield 2042. Posting their clip to Reddit, the player expertly uses the bullet-drop mechanic to their advantage and send their opponent back into the spawn screen to think about what they did wrong.

Commenters on Reddit quickly took to praising the player for their impressive shot. One user in particular wrote "what a shot mate! But I think you should have stepped forward 8m to make it a 2042m" while others highlighted there should have been more XP given for a kill of such skill. The majority of these comments wholesomely praised the shot and the player, reminding the Battlefield community that it can be a kind place, such as when two players made friends unexpectedly during a Rush match.

Whether it be sniping, driving tanks into enemies, jumping off of buildings or destroying every wall in sight, Battlefield has long been a series famous for its ability to create chaos in multiplayer spaces. Despite its glitches and bugs, many players are still willing to test out the new mechanics, maps and setting DICE has on offer with Battlefield 2042, as recent sales figures show.

The franchise is unlikely to be going anywhere anytime soon as well, with recent reports suggesting a Battlefield hero shooter may be in the works, it seems DICE are always looking to the future, though players are hoping that the developer fixes its current project first.

Battlefield 2042 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
