Immortals Fenyx Rising recently released its third DLC The Lost Gods, which introduced new protagonist Ash while moving the game's previous protagonist Fenyx into a narrative role. The DLC brought a lot of adjustments to Immortals Fenyx Rising, including a drastic change to the player's perspective.

The Lost Gods changes Immortals Fenyx Rising's third-person camera perspective into a new birds-eye perspective akin to Diablo. The change brought with it an entirely new combat system and a fresh approach to puzzles for players as they learn about Ash. Now, Ubisoft has released a video featuring Fenyx and Ash's voice actors to get their thoughts on the DLC.

In the video, Fenyx's voice actor Elana Dunkelman and Ash's voice actor Georgia Hadjis talk about different aspects of the DLC and their respective characters. Dunkelman said she appreciates that even though the DLC moves Fenyx to an entirely new role within the world of Immortals Fenyx Rising, it manages to maintain her dorky, nervous nature. Likewise, Hadjis said she was excited to play Ash because the character is very vulnerable despite being a capable and strong hero.

The actors also say they enjoyed exploring the mentor dynamic between the two characters, with Fenyx trying to impart advice to Ash as she recently went through a very similar experience in the base game. The video also points out some of the actors' favorite moments, including when the characters are nauseous and disgusted by something they have to collect, as well as Dunkelman's experience making up a language for the Nymphs. Seeing the actors give insight into the story for the new DLC is fun, as many fans expressed their love for the base story in Immortals Fenyx Rising when it launched last year.

Ubisoft's video is a nice treat for fans of Immortals Fenyx Rising, and does well to highlight some of the work that goes into producing games and their DLC expansions behind the scenes. Immortals Fenyx Rising's DLCs have boasted a lot of variety, from the new perspective and protagonist in The Lost Gods to embracing an entirely new mythology in the previous DLC, Myths of the Eastern Realm. Ubisoft has not made it clear what lies in the series' future, but with the company's participation in E3 2021, hopefully it will have some news for fans there.

Immortal Fenyx Rising is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
