While playing through Immortals Fenyx Rising, players are bound to come across a mount at some point. If that takes a while, it won't be long before the player is frantically searching for one in order to make traversing the island in Ubisoft's new open world title that much faster. Thankfully, taming and summoning mounts is easy so long as the player knows where to look for them.

In Immortals Fenyx Rising, there are 25 different types of mounts, and some are better than others. With nine epic mounts to spur players further into adventure, finding and taming them all is a goal that many set for themselves. For those curious on how to get started, read on.

Unlike some other games, taming these mounts doesn't require any special item or resource, making it possible to get some of the best mounts in Immortals Fenyx Rising very early on. Essentially, players just have to sneak up on a mount and press the tame button before it runs away or disappears.

It's vital that players sneak up on these creatures, as approaching too quickly will cause the potential mount to flee. In order to do this effectively, players should take note of any tall patches of grass or flowers, as these will conceal their location just like Immortals Fenyx Rising's inspiration, Assassin's Creed Odyssey. If there's a yellow eye symbol on the bottom of the screen, then Fenyx is hidden from sight. Get as close to the mount as possible before coming into its line of sight. At this point, as long as the player moves slowly towards it while crouched, it shouldn't run away, allowing the player to tame it.

Surprisingly, taming a mountin Immortals Fenyx Rising is the easy part. Players that managed to find one and get close enough without spooking it out need simply press a single button in order to tame the beast and add it to the list of usable mounts. On PC, this is E, while on PS4 and PS5 players will need to press Triangle. On Xbox One and Xbox Series X the control is Y, and on Nintendo Switch players will need to press X. This is the same button used to interact with any other character or object.

After taming a mount, players can summon it by holding the same button they used to tame it. This will cause the mount to magically appear beneath Fenyx, at which point it can be ridden as normal. For players with several mounts, the mount to be summoned can be changed in the inventory at will. Immortals Fenyx Rising will involve Twitch viewers in unique ways soon as well, and this may lead to more potential skins for mounts.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
