Slated to launch early next month, Immortals Fenyx Rising looks to be a fun departure from Ubisoft's traditional line-up of annual franchises. Set on the Golden Isle, it sees the player assume the role of Fenyx as they take the fight to a number of mythological beasts and monsters in an adventure to save the gods of Olympus.

As expected for a game from Ubisoft, the marketing for Immortals Fenyx Rising has been extensive, with the title getting a lot of airtime during the last Ubisoft Forward event in September. To the surprise of many, the newest ad for the game focuses on an unexpected crossover, as Adventure Time protagonists' Finn and Jake venture to the Golden Isle.

The promo is just over one minute long and sees the animated pair get lost in the sprawling fantasy world of Immortals Fenyx RisingThe entire trailer is animated in the show's style, seeing certain landmarks from the game pop up in the background as both Finn and Jake press on with their adventure. Eventually, they come across the three-headed Cerberus, failing to fight the beast spectacularly. As Cerberus is about to finish off the pair, they're rescued by Fenyx, who flies to the duo's rescue and swiftly defeats the monster.

There's a number of Adventure Time references and jokes sprinkled through the crossover, with Finn wondering whether Fenyx is actually Marceline and asking them if they're a princess, while Jake gets angry at his savior for calling Cerberus "dog breath." This actually isn't the first time Adventure Time has crossed over with a notable video game franchise, with the show dedicating a whole episode to Minecraft back in 2018. It saw Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Marceline, and more enter the world of Mojang's video game, creating houses, building fireworks, and collecting diamonds.

It won't be long until Immortals: Fenyx Rising hits shelves, with the game slated for release on December 3 for current and next-generation consoles. It looks to be a substantial open-world experience, boasting giant monsters to fight, tons of upgrades to amass, and sprawling environments to journey across. With players likely looking for some big experiences to grab on their PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X next month, Immortals Fenyx Rising looks to be one of the holiday's more high-profile blockbuster releases.

Immortals Fenyx Rising will be available December 3 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
