It's been nearly a month since Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was initially announced. In that time, plenty of additional information regarding the release of the game have been shown in reasonably sized batches. Earlier today, gameplay screenshots of one of the playable characters in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity were officially shown off.

Hyrule Warriors will serve as a prequel to Breath of the Wild, which has a lot of Zelda fans curious about what this could potentially mean for the overarching narrative established in the previous game, while other fans are looking forward to once again experiencing the Dynasty Warriors-style combat of the previous installment.

Hyrule Warriors has a sizeable roster of playable characters for players to select from, giving it a decent amount of variety. The majority of which are the heroes who fought against Calamity Ganon hundreds of years before the events of Breath of the Wild took place. One of the heroes being the champion of Gerudo, Urbosa. Nintendo has officially unveiled gameplay screenshots of Urbosa in action and from the look of it, her character has quite the powerful move-set.

Urbosa will utilize a lot of lighting abilities that were seen and were prevalent in Breath of the Wild. Being able to take out dozens of enemies using a lighting strike will hopefully be satisfying for players to experience. Plus, being able to play the game with friends using local co-op will certainly make disposing enemies all the more easier.

It won't be long now until this game has officially released, as, even though it was announced less than a month ago, the November 20 release date for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is approaching rather quickly. With the game coming out in a little over a month, there are still plenty of details regarding this game that Nintendo has yet to reveal. These gameplay screenshots being a key example, as well as unveiling Impa as a playable character.

It will be interesting to see what else Nintendo has in store with regards to this game. As this game takes place before the events of Breath of the Wild, the story could be impacted in a cacophony of different ways. It also has exciting implications in terms of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Though, fans will ultimately still have to wait to learn more.
