Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a large game with several side quests and post-game content for players to complete. While fans of Hyrule Warriors wait for any potential DLC, there is most likely still a lot to be done in the base game, but in order to complete many of these quests, players will need Star Fragments.

Just like in Breath of the Wild, Star Fragments are in short supply most of the time in Age of Calamity. However, unlike in BOTW, Hyrule Warriors players can't just sit on a mountain top and wait for stars to fall from the sky. Since Age of Calamity players need these for side quests, it's best to know exactly where to find them as early on as possible.

After Level 40

While Link, Zelda and all the other unlockable characters in Age of Calamity move through the storyline, players will begin to see more and more Star Fragments. These elusive materials will begin to pop up as rewards for completing both side quests and main story quests. After level 40 and after Chapter 4, the Star Fragments will become far more plentiful. This will allow players to go back and complete missions that required them in previous maps.

Tips for Finding Star Fragments

If players are looking to complete more missions with Star Fragments as rewards, all they need to do is keep their Shiekah Sensor tuned to them at all times. As players open more of the map's quests, the Sensor will continue to find more of these Star Fragments to collect. While this isn't a big secret for players of Age of Calamity, the Shiekah Slate is a useful tool for finding just about anything players need in the game.

There is no real way to farm for Star Fragments specifically in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, but there is a way to farm for another materials which can be traded for Star Fragments.

Trading for Fragments

There are a variety of traders in Age of Calamity that players can unlock to purchase goods. These merchants serve as a replacement for Breath of the Wild's Beedle, and show up randomly in stables once they are unlocked. Each has a different collection of things to sell, and each gives more money for certain types of materials than others, similar to wandering merchants in BOTW.

In the spiral peninsula outside of East Akkala, there is a merchant that can be unlocked with a side quest. This merchant will trade 50 lizards for a single Star Fragment as many times as the player wants to trade.
