Hyper Scape is Ubisoft’s brand new battle royale first person shooter. While Hyper Scape was in open beta for PC for about a month, the game is now out of beta and coming to consoles and PC free.

Hyper Scape plays similarly to most traditional battle royales, but the game has a focus on power-ups and abilities to help gain advantage over other players. Now, a recent trailer has come out detailing what players can expect for the games Season 1 battle pass.

Ubisoft recently announced that Hyper Scape was leaving its open beta period and was launching fully on August 11. Just ahead of launch, Ubisoft released the Season 1 patch notes for Hyper Scape, which detail changes to player health, loot and chests around the map, and how the team is addressing cheating and toxic behavior. The full list of patch notes is pretty long, which is a good sign of things to come for Hyper Scape’s upcoming content.

There’s a lot of things players need to know about Hyper Scape, but the game’s core content lines up with most traditional battle royale games. Speaking of Hyper Scape’s upcoming content, Ubisoft has now detailed what players can expect from the Season 1 battle pass. The first new content highlighted in the battle pass trailer was the addition of new skins for the game’s contenders. Contenders are the playable characters in the game, which players will be able to choose and customize with the battle pass.

Next, the trailer shows off some weapons skins that players can expect to unlock through the battle pass. Additionally, the trailer advertises new emotes, a permanent battle point boost that shares with squad mates, and gain a currency called bitcrowns. Finally, the trailer ends showing there are two tiers to the battle pass: premium and hyper. The hyper battle pass will give players an instant 25 levels, along with an additional rare skin and more bitcrowns. Though the battle pass is pretty standard fare, there is plenty of hype surrounding Hyper Scape as it shapes up to be a big game release in August.

While Hyper Scape still looks like traditional battle royal games of late, the game has certain core elements that set it apart from its competition. The game’s movement is fast-paced and the overall gameplay focuses on utilizing power-ups and abilities and reviving fallen teammates as soon as possible. Early impressions of Hyper Scape were positive, so there’s no doubt that plenty of players will stick around for the game’s launch starting today.

Hyper Scape is available now for free on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and is slated to be a launch title for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
