Hunt: Showdown is a very unique multiplayer game. It is described by Crytek, the developer, as a player vs player game inside of a player vs enemy world. It's among the best battle royale style games, even if it doesn't have the popularity of games like Fortnite or Apex Legends. Along with the solid PVP experience, the developer recently added a single-player Trials Mode.

The Trials Mode came with update 1.4.1 in Hunt: Showdown. The mode allows players to explore the bayou maps without fear of getting shot down by human enemies, and it also lets players complete varying sets of challenges.

The mode isn't brand new, but the Hunt: Showdown team just added a fresh trailer that highlights Trials Mode and also points to some of the new Trials that have recently been added. Update 1.4 for Hunt changed the META with varying alterations to the way the game handles elements. But the 1.4.1 update added duel-wielding and the excellent Trials Mode.

One of the nicest aspects of the totally PvE Trials Modes is the rewards, and the new trailer highlights some of them. Hunt added legendary guns, gear, etc. into the game that are fun to show off online. Because the game is also a permadeath title, it's possible to steal legendary weapons off of human hunters that are killed. Trials Mode adds exclusive legendary items that can be unlocked once various Trial challenges are completed.

There is a lot to love about Hunt: Showdown, and the game is continually supported and improved on. The players were asking for a strictly PvE mode for quite some time, and Crytek was happy to oblige. The team also has a roadmap on the game's website that outlines fan-created ideas that Crytek will be adding to the game in time.

Hunt: Showdown is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
