In just a few more days, the crow will fly in Hunt: Showdown. Players have been patiently waiting for a new boss in Crytek's unique PVP and PVE shooter, as it has been a part of the road map for quite some time. And while Hunt: Showdown has had a lot of content the last couple of months, the most exciting reveal might be right around the corner.

Crytek has spent the last few months especially building up anticipation for its new boss. Even as the exciting and massive 1.5 update was released for Hunt: Showdown, which including gameplay changes, new weapons, and the massive custom ammo overhaul, players have been patiently awaiting the new boss. Crytek has been using the hashtag TheCrowWillFly and counting down the days to something big, and recently it released a new video teasing what looks to be the new boss and a new event.

The short but sweet teaser trailer that dropped today for Hunt: Showdown shows a few hunters tracking down a boss. Just like the crow teases have hinted at, and as Crytek teased way back in December with a possible crow boss, the monstrous creature seems to have crow-like features based on a few hints, like feathers, nest, and caws. On top of that, the video ends with a quick rundown on what seems to be a limited-time event called "As The Crow Flies" which will run from March 24th through April 12th.

The As The Crow Flies event would not be the first for the game, as Hunt: Showdown's first event was a Halloween one. This newest event perhaps will unveil the highly anticipated new boss in a limited-time event. The likelihood would be that the event would provide players the opportunity to unlock gear, but after the event is over, the boss would remain in the game. Of course, these aspects are speculation until Crytek confirms.

Hunt: Showdown is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
