While the increasingly popular Humble Bundles may have dropped the "Indie" in its title, that doesn't mean it's not serving a great service for everyone involved. For the unaware, the Humble Bundles offer gamers a package deal of video games for an amazing prize: whatever price you choose to pay.

The money is divided up between the publishers of said title(s) in the bundle, charity and the Humble organizes themselves at a rate also determined by the buyers. It'a fantastic and successful concept and the latest bundle, by THQ, is seeing very impressive numbers.

I purchased The Humble THQ Bundle as week ago and since that time, over 800,000 bundles have been sold. At the time of this writing, with one full day left to go, the Humble THQ Bundle has raked in $4,627,665.97 for an average purchase price of $5.70. The bundle includes:

  • Red Faction: Armageddon
  • Darksiders
  • Metro 2033
  • Company of Heroes
  • Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
  • Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
  • Saints Row: The Third

The popularity and buzz surrounding this particular bundle has resulted in THQ adding more content to the package, including Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of WarTitan Quest and Red Faction: Armageddon's Path to War DLC. These games (and DLC), along with Saints Row: The Third are only available to buyers who pay more than the average.

As another bonus, the Humble THQ Bundle also includes the soundtracks (in both MP3 and FLAC formats) for Saints Row: The ThirdDarksidersRed Faction: ArmageddonCompany of Heroes: All Heroes Rise and Company of Heroes: Songs from the Front.

All of the content is of course available through digital download. The games are offered via Steam keys.

Players can get all of those games, and the music, for whatever payment they wish to offer and it really is an incredible end-of-year deal for anyone with a gaming-capable PC.
