Now, Hulu's behind-the-scenes preview of the Animaniacs reboot that features the aforementioned stars together again as they record their lines together for the new episodes. Released on the same date as the 27th anniversary of the Animaniacs premiere, the teaser also gives viewers a glimpse at sequences from the reboot and what could be the new opening titles through animatics. "We all love this show and these characters so much and the scripts, so far. They're really, really funny. It's gonna be a great new endeavor," said Harnell of the potential for the reboot.

As with the original series, Hulu's Animaniacs will see Yakko, Wakko, and Dot unleash mayhem on the Warner Bros. studio lot every upon their return to the famous WB Water Tower. Meanwhile, Pinky and the Brain will devise new schemes as they continue their quest to take over the world. Hulu has already ordered a second season of the reboot, scheduled to debut in 2021, which will consist of 13-episodes as well.

Despite Animaniacs holding a special place in the hearts of a generation who grew up with the series, it would be understandable if some are concerned about the reboot. With so many reboots of beloved '80s and '90s shows in the works, Animaniacs could just end up being another attempt at cashing in on nostalgia without taking what made the original a classic into consideration.

Still, seeing the original group of voice actors return the roles is sure to bring a smile to the faces of many. Based on the preview, the Animaniacs reboot certainly appears to have been developed with a great deal of passion and care.

Animaniacs will premiere on Hulu on November 20, 2020.
