In a recent interview, Hugh Jackman revealed the only thing that would bring him back to the silver screen as Wolverine. The actor claims that if he were offered to reprise his role as Wolverine in the MCU, that he might think twice about his decision to stop playing Wolverine.
Most of this is in reference to the past, however, as Jackman never clearly states that he would be willing to come back again. He believes that someone new will take up the role of Wolverine and has said that he is okay with that.
Jackman has moved on from his role as Wolverine to star in musicals such as Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman, a huge leap from his gruff and uncaring Wolverine. Still, if the MCU did reboot Wolverine and offered Jackman the part, he says he might have a hard time turning it down.
That said, Marvel's Phase 4 of the MCU doesn't seem to include any new X-Men movies or TV shows, so the likelihood of this happening anytime soon are incredibly slim. Still, fans of Jackman's rough and tumble Wolverine have some sliver of hope to hold onto that perhaps he will return and reprise the role in the MCU someday.
