Deadpool will finally be on coming into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time the third installment will have Hugh Jackman's Wolverine co-starring alongside Ryan Reynold's fan favorite Deadpool. Recently, it was revealed that Jackman is currently getting back into his superhero physique for the role of Wolverine.

Deadpool is a very iconic Marvel comic book character who was relatively underrepresented prior to his solo cinematic debut. Afterwards, Reynolds' Deadpool became a household name and the rest is history. The character has always been widely loved by comic fans, but the general audience was relatively unaware.

Jackman is also getting back into the physique that everyone is familiar with when the actor played Wolverine at his peak. Many point to Jackman as one of few examples of an actor who consistently stayed in shape for the purpose of a role while also going above and beyond what was required for the character. Whoever Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige ends up picking to become the new Wolverine for the rebooted X-Men will no doubt have some big shoes to fill with the heavy support from fans who really love Jackman's portrayal.

With the announcement of Deadpool 3 came a lot of speculation. It was earlier revealed that the film will bring the titular mercenary into the same cinematic universe as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America. Comic fans rejoiced to see Deadpool become a part of the MCU, as now they can get all of their content from the same high-quality place. What fans didn't expect was to see Jackman return in his iconic role of Wolverine.

Despite this recent Deadpool 3 announcement, Jackman and Reynolds have kept Deadpool 3 answers to themselves. The new film also received a release date of fall 2024, which is not typical of the superhero blockbusters that usually populate the summer. However, with this being a superhero film, it's able to generate an audience despite being released during the colder fall season.

It's unclear how Jackman's Wolverine is back considering the climatic events of Logan, however, one theory that many are guessing is that the world in Logan is just simply a different world and this "alternate" version of Wolverine is from the world of Deadpool. Another theory is that this film takes place before Logan. Only time will tell what happens once Deadpool 3 drops in theaters in the fall of 2024.

Deadpool 3 is currently slated for a September 6, 2024, release date.
