Deadpool went from being a cult favorite to a household name thanks to the solo films led by Ryan Reynolds. The highly anticipated third film is also set to bring back Hugh Jackman as the iconic Wolverine and he recently sat down to discuss the exact moment in which he regretted hanging up the claws.

Deadpool is described as an anti-hero based in the world of Marvel. He's not plotting the destruction of Earth but he's also not out to save it either, he mainly does what best serves his needs. The main draw for him is that he's both hilarious as well as incredibly skilled in combat. Deadpool 3 will be a follow-up movie to the highly successful Deadpool 2 movie and will also be bringing the character into Disney's established Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

With the third Deadpool film bringing back Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, many are excited to see what the two actors' chemistry can bring to the big screen. Wolverine and Deadpool have iconic moments in the comic books, television shows and even in the Deadpool video game. Due to Reynolds and Jackman having a friendship in real life, many are anticipating to see how these two actors bring the an authentic Wolverine & Deadpool dynamic to this live action film.

While it's fortunate for fans and talent alike to have Jackman back playing an angry Wolverine, there was a time when things weren't as great. Hugh Jackman went to see Deadpool in the movies and recalled the exact moment he regretted retiring the role. "If I'm honest, twenty minutes into the Deadpool movie, all I kept seeing was 48 Hours, the Nick Nolte/Eddie Murphy movie. I was like 'What have I done? What have I done? Nope, you said no. That's it. It's done, ok, I'm done.'"

Seeing as to how Deadpool ended up performing well, it's completely understandable why the actor instantly had a moment of regret and disappointment. Logan ended on such a high note for many fans because it brought needed closure to Wolverine's story. The film is often regarded as one of the best Marvel films to date and for many fans it was a bittersweet send-off to the beloved character. It should also be noted that the Deadpool 3 creators promise that there won't be any alteration to the Logan story.

Fans will now get one more amazing performance from Jackaman before Marvel inevitably casts for their new Disney-branded X-men. Many fans are disappointed that the casting won't be happening soon but this news of the crossover film will definitely be enough to tie fans over for the time being.
