Some gamers will have the opportunity to try out the game before its launch date. This guide will explain exactly how to get early access to Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy will have a few different versions at launch, including various physical and digital versions of the game. Fans that still haven't decided which version they want to buy might make a decision as soon as they learn about the perks that two of these versions provide.

There are only two ways to gain early access to Hogwarts Legacy. Players can either buy the Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe or the Hogwarts Legacy Collector's edition, both of which will allow buyers to play the game up to three days early, meaning that it will be available from February 7.

Just as their titles indicate, though, these editions are more expensive. The Digital Deluxe version of Hogwarts Legacy costs $79.99 on consoles and $69.99 on PC, while the Collector's edition costs $289.99 for PC and $299.99 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. By comparison, the standard version of the game costs $69.99 for next-gen consoles and $59.99 on PC, meaning that the upgrade from standard to deluxe will cost players $10.

What Time Does Early Access Start?

For those playing on PC, early access will begin at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST on February 7. For console players, however, the game will go live at midnight depending on one's local timezone, meaning that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners living in Europe and Asia will gain access to Hogwarts Legacy a little earlier than everybody else.

Anyone that purchases the Digital Deluxe version on Steam will be happy to know that the early access perk is accessible for those playing the game through the Family Share feature. As a result, no one will have to wait longer once early access is available.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most anticipated games of 2023 and so far looks like a very promising game. It is going to have tons of material to keep Harry Potter fans busy, and content for those that aren't yet familiar with the franchise. It's been confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will have over 100 non-linear side quests, and leaks suggest that it should take 35 hours to beat the main story and 70 hours to fully complete it.

Hogwarts Legacy launches on February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming on April 4 and the Switch version launching on July 25.
