The first DLC has finally been released for the much awaited Kingdom Hearts 3. This DLC, called Kingdom Hearts 3: Re Mind, takes place before the final battle. Sora, who is desperate to save Kairi, goes to the Keyblade Graveyard. This DLC is filled with Final Fantasy characters that help Sora through the dangers of the Graveyard.

How to Get the DLC

Along with some updated graphics, the Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC also adds quite a bit of story content, including a bunch of the Final Fantasy characters that were not included in the base game. Players will have to download the DLC add-on either from the PlayStation store or the Microsoft Store depending on which console they own. The DLC is currently $29.99 for either console. Once the DLC is downloaded, open Kingdom Hearts 3 and a notice should pop up, informing players of their brand new DLC.

Downloadable Content Screen

Look at the bottom of the screen; there should be an option for "Downloadable Content." Select the save file and then the DLC is ready to go. Players may think they do not have to complete KH3 to be able to play the DLC, but this is not true. The order of Kingdom Hearts games and content has always been confusing; even though the content technically takes place before the final battle, it looks like most of the content remains locked until the final battle is completed.

Getting to the Graveyard

Once the DLC is downloaded and players have defeated the final battle in Kingdom Hearts 3 and players have selected it from the "Downloadable Content" on the main menu, the DLC should start up on its own. Players will find themselves in a new world filled with Final Fantasy characters, and a new original Kingdom Hearts 3 character as well.
