For many, the forthcoming Darksiders 3 may be one of the most anticipated titles of Fall 2018. It may not be at the top of everyone's list, but there has been a dedicated following for this franchise regardless, sometimes in thanks to its Legend of Zelda-esque gameplay. And for those eager to get their hands on this title next month, we now know how long it will take players to beat the game.

Of course, it's just an approximation, but it should be on par with the original Darksiders game. In a recent interview, business and product development director Reinhard Pollice at THQ Nordic confirmed the Darksiders 3's average length of 15 hours, give or take. This length reveal was likely anticipated by fans, as true-to-form hack and slash games are not typically as long as games like Red Dead Redemption 2.

In fact, Pollice's exact words were "Playtime is always a tricky question as it depends on numerous factors. On average, we would say somewhere around 15-hours plus, which is similar to the first Darksiders."

Furthermore, Pollice also revealed that there will be support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) displays, so those with a compatible TV will be able to get the most out of it. Now, while the game is likely to be beautiful, many may be more concerned with the game's story, which revolves around the Charred Council ordering Fury to eliminate the Seven Deadly Sins.

One of the chief complaints, in fact, about Darksiders 2 was that it bombarded players with a run-around story, but Gunfire Games has recently revealed that there will be more of an emphasis on gameplay. Of course, there is still a story to the game revolving around the aforementioned Sins, but the 15-hour story will advance at the gamer's pace. This should hopefully be well-received and eventually lead to Darksiders 4 where players will likely control Strife.

Darksiders 3 is set to launch on November 27, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
