One year later and Fortnite Battle Royale continues to be a force in the gaming industry. Thanks to consistent updates, seasonal rewards, and a map that continues to be refreshed, players can't seemingly get enough. Alongside the new content and updates with this week's update, the ever-evolving Fortnite features a new limited time mode to the massively popular Battle Royale mode with the interestingly named Disco Domination.

For players looking for a different battle royale style experience than what they typically get in Fortnite, Disco Domination is more of an objective based mode. Dance floors spawn randomly around the map and players are tasked with finding them and clearing them out from other players. Once the floor is secure, players will need to use a dance emote to raise a disco ball up from the floor. Teams will need to capture and defend these locations to fill a meter and ultimately win the match.

That's not all however as update 6.10 added in a few tweaks to the mode which freshen it up a bit from its previous appearance. When players load in, they'll find that all common weapons have been removed completely and bandage spawns have been reduced by half. In addition, Disco Domination has reduced max respawn distance by 20%, added new side dance floors closer to the Storm edge, and increased the variability of where players can spawn by 30% along their team's storm circle.

Although details leaked ahead of schedule, the Tournaments mode has also been made live in this week's game update. Available within the Events tab, players can pick and choose from a variety of open tournaments as well as see what time new ones kick off. Players earn score based on eliminations and survival length and this number also helps match players with others around a similar score level. At the end of each season, players who reach a certains core level earn a golden pin for that tournament.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. A beta is currently taking place on Android devices.
