Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players can connect their accounts to Pokemon Home in the new update version 3.0.0. Having the ability to connect all Pokemon games to Pokemon Home is very important for players, as this acts as a safe place for their creatures, as well as allows them to move from game to game.

For example, suppose a player has some Pokemon on Sword and Shield or Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. In that case, they have the ability to connect it to Pokemon Home and be able to transfer some from there into games like Scarlet and Violet. This is a cool feature that Nintendo has had for a while now, even giving people the choice to transfer over Pokemon from Pokemon Bank, which is on the 3DS. This guide will teach players how to connect Scarlet and Violet to Pokemon Home.

How To Connect Scarlet/Violet to Pokemon Home

Players can connect their Pokemon Home account to Violet and Scarlet, where they will actually receive a gift for doing so. When players transfer a Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet into Pokemon Home for the very first time, players can receive one of the Paldean starter Pokemon for free. The selection is between Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, each having Hidden Abilities as Mystery Gifts in the app version of Pokemon Home. They can then be transferred into players' games to be used for breeding or just having a fun time in Paldea.

It's worth noting that Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet players will not be able to transfer Pokemon into Pokemon Home until later this year. Initially, the patch was supposed to drop on May 24, but The Pokemon Company made a mistake and informed fans that the update would come later.

Connecting Scarlet and Violet to Pokemon Home is pretty easy. First, make sure that the Pokemon Home app is downloaded to the Nintendo Switch housing Scarlet/Violet. When new Pokemon games come out, support isn't always available for them immediately, so keep that in mind for the future. Once in Pokemon Home, select Pokemon, and there should be a screen displaying all the Pokemon games saved to that switch. Players can then connect Scarlet/Violet, easily claim their rewards, and transfer their Pokemon.

Many other Pokemon games can be connected using the same method for the following: Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Legends: Arceus and also Pokemon Bank. Pokemon Home will hold up to 6,000 Pokemon when paying for the Premium Subscription. Those that don't have the Subscription service can hold 30 Pokemon.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can also be connected to Pokemon GO for some extra rewards while playing. This makes it even more convenient to transfer Pokemon from one game to another. This also allows players to have the Pokemon they want to trade with them on the go.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
