Dead Island 2 has no shortage of zombies to throw at its players. Some are relatively easy to knock off, while some are weapon bearers and need extra caution to engage with. There aren't just normal ones; multiple boss-level zombies are prominent throughout the Dambuster Studios' title. These bosses have exceptional power and abilities, making the gameplay even more fierce.

Butcho the Clown is one of the hardest Dead Island 2 bosses players face in Hell-A. To progress in the main story, it is mandatory to fight this zombie boss. The players have no option but to face Butcho the Clown if they encounter it. In the main mission, "Boardwalking Dead," players are tasked to retrieve the blood drive from the end of Santa Monica pier, where this boss fight occurs. Defeating Butcho the Clown isn't easy since the monster boasts extreme power; players must strategize thoroughly to win the boss fight.

Dead Island 2 Butcho the Clown Is Tough

Dead Island 2 urges its players to explore the wide map and, in the process, duke it out with multiple zombies. Not all zombies are the same; every zombie has their own battling style and requires personalized strategies. With bosses, one must be extra careful before fighting to the death. Such is the case of Butcho the Clown, the zombie boss who is extremely dangerous with its regeneration prowess.

This regeneration ability makes the boss a menace as it can heal itself and extend the battle duration indefinitely. When its health drops below 50%, the undead chops down other Dead Island 2 zombies' corpses and heals itself. It isn't the only thing that makes this zombie dangerous; the boss also inflicts extremely heavy damage.

Butcho the Clown focuses on sword-arm swings and jump attacks; players need to avoid them at all costs. The best strategy would be to quickly avoid its arm swings and inflict as much damage as possible during the short span of its opening. As the fight continues, additional walkers will enter the arena. Fighters must focus on damaging Butcho and only use a jump kick to push the zombies out of the way.

Dead Island 2 Boss Butcho the Clown Ready To Attack

Another opening shows up when it jumps toward the player with its claws out; the zombie freezes for a while. When that happens, use the best guns in Dead Island 2 to inflict maximum damage. Players can also target the boss's legs as they can easily go off balance. Attacking its legs results in the boss falling and getting stunned. This window of opportunity can be a winning strike for battle enthusiasts.

When damaged significantly, the boss will move away to chop down on corpses and heal itself. Since it can block the slug from firearms with its powerful arms, use the opportunity it shows while munching down on other zombies. Players need to continuously attack the zombie, especially with Dead Island 2's ranged weapons, to make it stop eating and return to battle. This strategy can continue until the zombie boss is finally done for.

Dead Island 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
