Meta's latest line of virtual reality headsets allow players to jump into the Metaverse and beyond. There is so much to see and explore, but some VR adventures are even better with friends. Thankfully, there are a myriad of Oculus Quest-compatible games that allow for online multiplayer. Those that want to embark on virtual adventures with their friends or loved ones will want to be sure to add them to their Oculus Quest friends list.
Here's a look at how to quickly and easily find and add other players.
How To Add Friends Through The Meta Quest Headset Interface
Players can keep up with one another within the Metaverse by "following" each other's profiles. Thankfully, this can be done directly from the Oculus Quest (or Oculus Quest 2) headset itself. To do so, players will first need to press the Oculus Button on their right-hand controller (indicated by the concave Oculus symbol that is located down and right of the A button). Doing so will bring up the Universal Menu. From there, players can navigate to the People Icon (denoted by two people-shaped icons standing next to one another) and then click the Search Icon (denoted by a magnifying glass).
In this menu, players can search for anyone by either their Meta Quest username or their first and last name. Once players locate the appropriate profile, they can add it by clicking the Follow Icon (denoted by a human shape with a plus icon next to it).
How To Add Friends On Meta Quest Through The Mobile App
Those that are having trouble navigating through the Meta headset interface can easily add friends and profiles by accessing them via the Oculus Mobile App. With the app open on their mobile device, players can navigate to and click on the Menu Button (which appears as three stacked lines and is located in the bottom right of the screen). There, players will find a People Icon (that looks just as it does in the Meta interface). There, they can click the magnifying glass icon to search and can locate profiles by either username or first and last name. Once the right person is located, it's as easy as tapping Follow to add them.
How To Add Friends For Meta Quest On PC
To add friends on PC, players can open the Oculus PC app and navigate to the bottom left menu area where they will find Friends. Here, they can select either Username or Name and search for an appropriate profile. Once the profile has been located, players simply need to hit Follow to add them to their friends list.
