However, for any worried fans of the series, it has also confirmed that the game will keep the plot faithful to the original game, including the series' legacy of having multiple endings to discover and unlock, and the trailer shows that the gameplay also looks faithful despite receiving some updates to make it feel more modern. The remake will also feature an entirely new cast of characters for players to pick from.
Fans of the series may remember that the remake was announced back in 2019 from publisher Forever Entertainment alongside a remake of The House of the Dead 2. However, the released trailer only delivers an update on The House of the Dead: Remake and fans will still have to wait for news on the remake of the sequel. The trailer also only confirms that the title is coming to Nintendo Switch, so it remains to be seen whether or not the game will eventually make it to other platforms like PC and home consoles.
