Fans of the House of The Dead franchise are no strangers to its over the top style and off-beat humor, two facets which are expertly detailed in the latest trailer for Sega's light-gun-zombie-themed-shooter, House Of The Dead: Overkill.

The latest trailer, titled "Grindhouse Crossbow" shows off a crossbow emporium, detailing one of the many weapon types players will use during their time with the Move-enabled shooter.

In true House of The Dead style, "Grindhouse Crossbow" displays the franchise's unique style of humor, with a narrator that sounds like the "Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man" guy from Family Guy, the trailer is sure to elicit a chuckle from both House of the Dead fans, as well as those who may not have payed any attention to the title before.

For those unfamiliar with House of The Dead: Overkill, the game was at one point a Wii exclusive shooter, utilizing the Wiimote for combat. Now that Sony has released the PlayStation Move, Sega has begun the process of porting the title over to the PS3 with full Move and 3D support. While the graphics don't appear to be a huge improvment over the original Wii version, the gameplay is sure to be a helluva lot of fun. The PS3 version of House of The Dead: Overkill will also feature new game modes and extra content, as well as the obligatory trophy support, the former of which almost caused the game to be refused classification in Australia.

House of the Dead: Overkill follows the trend of Wii titles being ported over to the PS3, a list which includes titles like Dead Space: Extraction and No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise. There are plenty of great third party Wii games that unfortunately didn't sell well on Nintendo's console, so hopefully publishers will begin looking into porting some of their titles to the PS3, such as Sega's own Madworld (hint, hint).

House of The Dead: Overkill releases October 25th, 2011 on the PS3.
