Typically, villains in horror games and films alike are meant to be terrifying, and generally, hard to look at most of the time. The feeling of running away from impending doom truly needs a horrific monster or rabid killer as the cherry on the top. However, just because horror villains are meant to be scary doesn't mean they can't be fashionable while they do their job.

Not every villain is unhinged, chasing down their prey in disgusting rags or nothing at all. Some villains make horror chic and cause their mischief in style. Here are some of the most notable horror villains with the most impeccable style.

10 Mr. X - Resident Evil 2

Mr. X From Resident Evil 2

Although RE2's Mr. X is meant to be a terrifying threat, one can't help but be impressed with the immaculate drip he has on while he stalks Leon around the Raccoon City police station. Mr. X has exactly one job, and it is to eliminate any surviving witnesses, and unfortunately for the player, that means them.

Mr. X wears a stylish all-black ensemble, most notably his black trench coat with Kingdom Hearts-esque buckles on the sleeves, and his signature fedora. Mr. X's impeccable style is so stunning that there is even a trophy/achievement just for shooting his hat off! No one should be that stylish. Hopefully, fellow tyrant Nemesis will finally upgrade his garbage bag chic look too.

9 Billy - Saw: The Video Game

The Jigsaw killer in Saw

Many diehard fans already know that while Jigsaw is the main antagonist of the entire Saw series, it is Billy the puppet that the general public is more familiar with. Throughout the game, Jigsaw isn't really in the spotlight; at least not visually. Jigsaw rarely ever shows his face in order to conceal his identity and depends on his good pal Billy to do all the public speaking.

Jigsaw is known for being a bit of a genius, and he was definitely smart when it came to picking out little Billy's outfit for his signature look. Billy is not only dressed to the nines with his black tux with red accented handkerchief and bow tie, but he also knows how to accessorize. His little tricycle and signature red spirals on his cheeks are subtle accents that give him a whole ton of personality.

8 The Lady - Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares The Lady

The elusive Lady from Little Nightmares may not have many opportunities to show off her great fashion on screen but in the little time she does have to flaunt her style, she does a great job. The Lady's fashion sense proves that subtlety can still look chic and beautiful.

The Lady is the main antagonist and final boss of Little Nightmares. She truly knows how to accentuate her exceptional height and dons a plain, yet elegant brown kimono, a white porcelain Japanese Noh mask, with her long black hair up in a clean bun.

7 Ramon Salazar - Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 Ramon Salazar

This Spanish nobleman is one of the main antagonists of RE4 and has one of the best outfits in the entire game (sorry, Leon). While maybe a bit outdated (to say the least), who doesn't love a bit of vintage now and then?

While his stature is rather short, the Plaga infection in his body has left him with a much older complexion than he should have at his age, so it's only fitting that he puts as much effort into his outfit to still look and feel his best. Salazar's overall fashion inspiration is aristocratic and channels the renaissance era, with a tiny touch of pirate vibes.

6 The Impostor - Propnight

Propnight Killer Impostor

While the Impostor from Propnight is a bit spooky and hard to look at due to his frightening face (or lack thereof), his fashion sense is definitely not. The Impostor is adorned with a slick and stylish all-black suit, black tie included. Although he doesn't have any other contrasting colors on his ensemble, the all-black look definitely suits his overall character's vibe.

The Impostor has an incredibly pale (almost corpse-like) complexion and the contrast of his pale skin against the all-black outfit makes him look incredibly chic (and deadly!).

5 Alexander Of Brennenburg - Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Amnesia The Dark Descent Alexander Of Brennenburg

Alexander of Brennenburg was actually a supernatural/otherworldly being that had been spending much of his life parading around as multiple barons in the world of Amnesia. There is one particular painting that acts as the main/only real depiction of Alexander (at least as protagonist Daniel knows him).

Considering how many years Alexander has lived, it's only natural that he's honed his overall sense of fashion. Alexander is adorned with the classic English aristocratic look with a red jacket with yellow/gold accents on the lapels and topped off with a quintessential plain white ascot tie.

4 Slenderman - Slenderman: The Curse

Slenderman The Curse

When playing Slenderman: The Curse, it's usually a bad sign when Slenderman is close enough to get a good look at his outfit, let alone have him visible at all. But if any players do run into some trouble with Slenderman, make sure to appreciate how well-dressed he is! Perhaps a bit simple with his black suit and red tie, but it's nice to know that even a terrifying creature like himself still tries to look his best.

It's a wonder how Slenderman manages to dress so stylishly considering his unusual proportions. Are fans to believe that the Slenderman himself takes a few days off from haunting dark forests to pay a visit to his local Big And Tall Man Store?

3 Atlas (Frank Fontaine) - Bioshock

Bioshock Atlas

The biggest twist of the original Bioshock is that the player's (supposed) best friend and travel guide throughout all of Rapture ended up being the game's main antagonist. Atlas (later revealed to be Frank Fontaine) for the most part, isn't seen much in-game as he mainly communicates with the protagonist via radio.

However, in the few glimpses players get of Atlas (when he isn't transformed into a monster at the end of the game), he does appear rather dapper. Atlas is typically seen in a simple, yet fashionable white dress shirt paired with dark blue pants and his signature black suspenders.

2 The Thin Man - Little Nightmares 2

Little Nightmares 2 Thin Man

The Thin Man is the overall main antagonist of Little Nightmares 2 and wears an outfit inspired by 1940's-50's fashion; simple yet stylish. The era of his fashion inspiration is likely connected to his resemblance to characters seen in the black-and-white silent films from the same era, which also ties in with his supernatural ability to manipulate televisions.

Not only is The Thin man's fashion sense chic, but it also is in theme with his powers!

1 Lady Dimitrescu - Resident Evil 8

resident evil village lady dimitrescu claws

It's clear that Lady Dimitrescu doesn't mess around with fashion and takes her wardrobe seriously. RE8's Lady D. doesn't let her massive height stop her from getting all the beautiful dresses she wants. Lady D. plays a similar role to Mr. X and Nemesis from RE2 and RE3 and stalks the player throughout the entirety of their stay at Castle Dimitrescu.

Even with hunting down a fleeing Ethan Winters throughout her entire abode, Lady D. manages to look fabulous the entire time, wearing a beautiful ivory dress with black flowers on the collar, an elegant pearl necklace, matching earrings, and of course her gigantic iconic sunhat.
