In an effort to mitigate damages, Guerrilla Games posted on Steam to address the technical issues with Horizon: Zero Dawn on PC.

Horizon: Zero Dawn was originally a PS4 exclusive developed by Guerilla Games back in 2017. After a widely successful run on the PS4, even winning Best PS4 game back in 2018 among other awards, Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition released on Steam and was met with massive support from fans, quickly becoming one of Steam's top sellers.

However, among the many technical problems of Horizon: Zero Dawn, players have been complaining about the game's technical issues, stating that the game is constantly crashing on them. Now, Guerilla Games has taken to Steam to address the problem and the steps it is taking to fix it.

First, Guerilla Games shares its gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans who have shared screenshots of the in-game Photo Mode and content from live streamers, which shows off how impressive the game is visually. The company is grateful that so many new players are enjoying the start of their new journey with Aloy. In regards to the technical issue, the company is monitoring its channels and are aware of the technical problems and crashes that many players are facing.

Guerilla Games goes onto say that investigating these reports is currently its highest priority. If players are still experiencing crashes and bugs, and don't know how to proceed, Guerilla Games advises continuing posting to Steam and Reddit while also taking a look at the FAQ section of the company's website. Guerilla Games suggests that this is the most helpful way that fans can help the development team fix these issues as fast as possible.

The company ends its statement by saying it will continue to update the players once it has more information available. While the statement is a little vague, it is obviously all Guerilla Games is able to address at the moment. Horizon: Zero Dawn just released on Steam two days ago, so it is not surprising that there will be technical issues right at launch. It is comforting, however, that Guerilla Games is being transparent and owning up to its mistakes. More companies should be willing to do whatever it can to bring the best product possible to the community, and it only makes fans more confident for when Horizon: Forbidden West releases.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is available for PC and PS4.
