Without a doubt, Horizon: Zero Dawn is easily one of the best PS4 exclusives to be released in quite some time, and many would even go so far as to say that it can be considered as a contender for one of the year's best releases no matter the platform. With this being the case, it makes sense that a Game of the Year edition has now surfaced online ahead of an official announcement from Guerrilla Games.

As seen in the image below, it appears as if eagle-eyed gaming fans were able to quickly pick up on a listing for Horizon: Zero Dawn that appeared on Play Asia’s website. It seems as if the reveal of the special version of the open world action-adventure title was unintentional on Play Asia's end, for when one tries to navigate to the retailer’s listing for the game, it sends folks to a 404 page instead.

Nevertheless, the gaming outlet known as The PlayStation Brahs was able to screenshot the listing for Horizon: Zero Dawn's Game of the Year edition before it was taken off of the site. Of course, the above image is only tentative proof of the title getting a GOTY edition, for Guerrilla Games has yet to openly acknowledge the existence of such a product. According to the listing that was briefly up on Play Asia’s site, however, Horizon: Zero Dawn's Game of the Year edition is going to be priced at $50, and will release on December 5, 2017.

Should Horizon: Zero Dawn be getting its own Game of the Year edition, then fans ought to expect the first major story DLC and upcoming expansion known as The Frozen Wilds to be included in the package as well. Those who already own the title, though, will be able to pick up the add-on on its own next month when it releases on November 7, 2017.

Taking all of this into account, it's difficult to dispel the notion that Horizon: Zero Dawn was eventually going to get a Game of the Year edition, especially due to the fact that the last tally of the title's sales from about four months ago indicates it has sold more than 3.4 million copies, with the game undoubtedly having moved more units since then. So, all fans can do now is wait and see whether or not the leaked details from Play Asia are accurate.
