According to a post on the Dutch gaming site PSX-Sense, Guerrilla Games has now officially made the day one patch notes available for Horizon: Zero Dawn ahead of its launch next week. Once fans download and apply the update – which is a combination of version 1.01 and 1.02, apparently – some improvements to certain performance issues ought to be made, and it will also include Performance Mode to give the game smoother frame rates in 1080p and 4K.

For those concerned about having to wait a lengthy amount of time to download the update for Horizon: Zero Dawn upon launch, there need not be much worry, as the contents of the patch are surprisingly small when one considers the amount of refinements being made. As a matter of fact, the day one patch size is ridiculously tiny when compared to other contemporary releases' launch day updates, as Horizon: Zero Dawn fans will only have to set aside about 227.3MB. While graphics aren't always the most important aspect to bear in mind while playing a game, it seems as if the visuals for Horizon: Zero Dawn are definitely a major highlight, with many critics publishing positive reviews that make sure to mention the beauty of the world created by Guerrilla Games. Of course, the very same reviews have acknowledged the strength of the title's story and deep lore, its unique combat elements, and its remarkably wonderful blend of nature and technology.
