This first image is not new, as it has been shown before, but the detail in this rendering of the screenshot is absolutely incredible. Aloy looks across a desolate landscape as the sun illuminates everything in the image. Looking closely, astute readers may notice the way the light seems to reflect off Aloy and her surroundings beautifully, and even individual strands of hair can be seen in the image. This is the kind of intense detail that fans can expect from the PS5, but hopefully they have TVs good enough to show it.

This image shows the decrepit, post-apocalyptic world of Horizon: Forbidden West and the unique dichotomy between technology and nature's slow effort to reclaim the land. Everything about this screenshot, from the eerie atmosphere it evokes to the striking lighting effects is just perfect, and really helps to paint a picture of what Horizon: Forbidden West will be like to those players that may not be as familiar with the first game.

With any luck, more and more screenshots and information will filter out about Horizon: Forbidden West over time. Though a 2021 launch leaves things somewhat uncertain for fans, finally having a name and now some images is nice for fans of the first game. Horizon: Zero Dawn was one of the PS4's most defining titles, so fans are hopeful that Forbidden West can live up to its predecessor and provide an experience unrivaled.
