The anticipation for Horizon: Forbidden West is now at its highest as the official launch of the game creeps closer. Fans are already teeming with excitement and calling in time off from work as they wait to get their hands on the latest entry of the post-apocalyptic saga. Even some of Sony's other exclusive titles are getting in on the hype with Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Ghost of Tsushima releasing promotional content. Now Sony has released one more stylish trailer ahead of launch.

This new trailer is cinematic, not gameplay, nor rendered in-game. But the game looks so great already, it doesn't feel too far off from what fans have seen from PS5 and PS4 gameplay trailers. This trailer features a voiceover of Aloy remembering the teachings of her father, Rost, and how it will impact her decision to continue her mission to help others and the planet.

The one-minute trailer shows Aloy in a variety of settings that have been shown to exist in Horizon: Forbidden West. Aloy is being a fearless warrior taking on the Clamberjaws, a hero as she saves an Utaru tribesman from being crushed by a Tremortusk, and an investigator as she studies the Red Blight that is infecting the land. The voiceover is of what drives her as she takes on the new challenge of solving the mysteries of the Forbidden West.

In the comment section of the cinematic trailer, fans are expressing their hype for the game that is now mere days away. There also is a theory being expressed that Horizon: Forbidden West will have flying mounts. That is based on one of the final scenes in this trailer where Aloy is gesturing kindly towards a Sunwing that has landed behind her. She would only do this if it's a machine that she has overridden. The trailer ends with her launching towards the cliffside and into the scenery she was just overlooking. Either she just jumped off and fans have to assume that she'll be using the Shieldwing, or make the bold assumption that she's on the back of the Sunwing.

There have been no trailers or information released that suggested that flying mounts will be an option, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. Taking a page from another Sony-exclusive game, Marvel's Spider-Man, the Sunwing could be used as a more engaging form of fast travel. Rather than looking at a loading bar, Aloy could use a Sunwing to travel long distances and show off the artistic beauty of Horizon: Forbidden West.

Horizon: Forbidden West will release on February 18 for PS4 and PS5.
