Horizon Forbidden West builds upon Horizon Zero Dawn in meaningful ways. Developer Guerrilla Games added several new skills and abilities to the game, greatly expanding Aloy’s arsenal. Horizon Forbidden West also improves the quality of side quests and NPC interactions, which feel more lifelike than the conversations in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Regardless of these changes, Horizon Forbidden West launched with a few bugs, probably more than Sony’s other major first-party games. Thankfully, most of them are funny rather than game-breaking, so many players record these instances and share them online. One Horizon Forbidden West bug featured an enemy sliding away from Aloy, and a fan recently uploaded an even more hilarious encounter with a machine.

A user named jo_vesx comes across a strange Leaplasher while exploring the open world of Horizon Forbidden West. It looks like the Leaplasher is glitched, causing it to run around in a circle at a breakneck pace. Jo_vesx notices that the animation and visual design are strikingly like the movement of The Flash from DC Comics. The Leaplasher also makes a sound every time it passes Aloy, and one user compares it to watching an F1 race.

Jo_vesx watches the incident unfold for a few moments before deciding to hit the Leaplasher with an arrow. The enemy stops in its tracks as if nothing out of place happened and starts attacking Aloy. The player quickly dispatches the Leaplasher and ends the fight with a critical strike on the downed enemy. Jo_vesx states that it’s a bug, as they often visited this area but encountered this incident for the first time in their playthrough.

As expected, users in the comments make several references to The Flash and storylines from DC Comics, and some jokingly blame the Leaplasher for messing with the timeline. Sakya22 says that it bears a striking resemblance to The Flash, and several other players mention that this is the best glitch they have seen in Horizon Forbidden West. Some users also note the player’s shooting skills and remark on the difficulty of landing that shot.

Mounts in Horizon Forbidden West are slow, and it takes a while to navigate the open world. Extinction_Entity jokingly states that Hephaestus got annoyed by the complaints regarding slow mounts and created this Leaplasher to answer fans’ queries. Rygga22 also wants this mount in their game, but Skarleendel intends to fight against a super-speed Leaplasher variant. After seeing this clip, perhaps Guerrilla Games will include a speedster enemy in a possible sequel to Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West is currently available for PS4 and PS5.
