Hood: Outlaws and Legends is quickly becoming an anticipated upcoming game. The multiplayer PvPvE title tasks players with executing perfect heists, and so far developer Sumo Digital has been promoting the game via several class-focused trailers. Each trailer reveals a new way of playing Hood: Outlaws and Legends, and the latest one introduces the multi-talented Brawler class.

The idea behind the Brawler class is that the character traded being a blacksmith for training in the ways of war. Suffice to say, they're not the sneakiest of character classes. Instead, they're a melee combat-focused character built for toughness, chasing enemies, and holding defensive lines. They wield a hammer, can open pathways that require the Brawler's muscles, and can also carry chests at an increased pace compared to other classes.

The Brawler's handy equipment is an explosive grenade, making the class an incredible threat from any range. The Brawlers can throw the grenade into a crowd or at an opponent's feet to do massive damage. The grenade is also sticky, so catching a player unaware can mean they won't be able to dodge the grenade's explosion regardless of whether they flee or dodge. It can even down the special Sheriff character for a time. However, it's very loud, so should only be used in specific situations.

The Brawler's ultimate ability makes them even more of an intimidating threat. It's called Rage, and while Sumo Digital doesn't get specific about what the ability does, it's clear that it makes them more of a juggernaut. They can do swinging AoE melee attacks, powerful melee combos, and can run faster than usual. It isn't clear if the Brawler also takes less damage during Rage, but they were shown to not really care about incoming attacks.

For the time being and barring any surprises, Hood: Outlaws and Legends has four different classes to choose from. There's the melee-focused Brawler, but there's also the Ranger, the Hunter, and the Mystic. They deal with ranged damage and infiltration, stealth assassination and mid-range burst damage, and healing with crowd control, respectively. The Brawler fits into the picture as a tank.

Only those four classes have been announced for Hood: Outlaws and Legends so far. It seems likely that if Hood proves to be a success, more characters could be added over time. The game is already confirmed to have season passes, so interested gamers will just have to wait for more information in the months to come.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends releases May 10 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
