On top of its enticing turn-based game, Honkai: Star Rail also offers fun exploration. Even though the semi-open-world is limited, there are plenty of things people can do and an endless number of hidden missions and achievements.
Other than investigating practically everything, people can also find hidden tasks in plain sight. For example, there’s a locked room in the northern part of the Base Zone. When players attempt to open the door, a prompt will appear, stating that triple authentication verification cards are required to open the Base Zone locked door in Honkai: Star Rail.
Base Zone Triple Authentication Door In Honkai Star Rail
To open the triple authentication door in Honkai: Star Rail Base Zone, players must first find all three certification or verification key cards. Once all three are collected, the Trailblazer will receive a message saying they should head to the usual spot. The usual spot is located in the northern part of the Base Zone, where there’s a square room on the west.
If players are unable to enter this hall, it’s likely because they’re yet to talk to Abraham in the Road to Revival quest.
Once inside, there will be two Voidranger enemies, so make sure to be prepared before entering. Defeating the foe will unlock a Precious Treasure Chest that contains a The Seriousness of Breakfast 4-star Erudition Light Cone. Collecting some items there will also grant the Seventeen’s Map achievement in Honkai: Star Rail, which gives an extra five Stellar Jades.
If players are having a tough time finding the Verification Key Card, here’s a hint of all three tiers of certifications:
- Tier-1 certification: Held by a man with an afro haircut
- Tier-2 certification: In an elevated room in the Storage Zone
- Tier-3 certification: 300 meters away from the room location

For the first authentication card, head to the Master Control Zone and find the Man with Afro. Now, talk to him five times until players get the tier-1 certification card.
Tier-2 Certification Location - Wubbaboo Elevated Room In Storage Zone
Next, head to the eastern side of the Storage Zone and enter the room. Once inside, there would be an orange bridge. Do not cross the bridge and turn left instead.
From there, keep activating the Control Devices until players reach the final one. The last Control Device would activate the blue bridge.
Now, cross the blue bridge to the elevated room above and investigate the glowing spot near the doorway for the tier-2 certification card in Honkai: Star Rail.
Tier-3 Certification Location - 300 Meters Away In Base Zone
For the tier-3 certification, simply head further north from the secret room, then fight the Blaze Out of Space enemy that’s guarding the Honkai: Star Rail Treasure Chest. This foe is weak to Physical, Ice, and Quantum, so players can use Trailblazer, Natasha, Herta, or March 7th in the team.
