Harry Potter film star Tom Felton teared up while playing Hogwarts Legacy in a recent event to promote the open world Harry Potter action-RPG. Hogwarts Legacy owes a great debt to the Harry Potter film franchise, which established the general style and aesthetic used in the hit game.

While the latter two Fantastic Beasts movies struggled at the box office, the Harry Potter franchise has otherwise been a massive success. The Harry Potter movies are some of the highest-grossing films in box office history, and Hogwarts Legacy has smashed sales records. Considering how popular both the Harry Potter movies and the Hogwarts Legacy video game are, it's no surprise that fans were excited to see the two worlds collide.

This happened in a recent video where Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton played through Sebastian Sallow's quest in Hogwarts Legacy. During the video, Felton discussed his experiences with the Harry Potter franchise while playing the game as his custom-made character. As he explored the Slytherin common room, Felton was asked if the game felt like "home." Felton can be seen tearing up as he answers the question, saying, "Yeah, it feels like home. And yet brand-new and exciting and oddly reminiscent of my childhood."

Felton playing the Sebastian Sallow quest in Hogwarts Legacy was part of a renewed marketing push for the game, coinciding with its launch on PS4 and Xbox One consoles. While there was some concern that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy would be far inferior to their PS5 and Xbox Series X counterparts, the consensus seems to be that the game runs just fine on the older hardware.

It's possible that the multiple release date delays for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy are what allowed the game to perform so well on PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Nintendo Switch gamers will be hoping that the latest big delay that version of the game has suffered will do the same. Once set for a July 25 release date, it was recently announced that the Nintendo Switch port of Hogwarts Legacy has been pushed all the way back to November 14.

The Nintendo Switch port of Hogwarts Legacy hasn't been seen in action yet, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out. In the meantime, Harry Potter fans on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, even those that have yet to upgrade to the newer hardware, can play through the game in its entirety, including the Sebastian Sallow quest that Tom Felton can be seen playing in the video.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X with a Nintendo Switch version coming November 14.
