Hogwarts Legacy is no doubt one of the most anticipated games of the holiday season, as it brings the fantasy of being a student at Hogwarts to life. This full-blown RPG is moving away from Harry Potter and taking fans back to the 1800s, setting up a mystery of ancient magic and the dangers of a goblin rebellion. Still, since its last trailer, nothing much has been confirmed about the game.

Even Hogwarts Legacy’s exact release date is still a mystery, but it seems Redditor opalelement has found something that may interest fans. Accessing WB’s game website and source code, they’ve managed to find a list of DLC/extras associated with special editions of the game and provide instructions to follow for anyone seeking verification. This does come with the caveat that there’s no telling how accurate these are—as it could have changed—or exactly where they fall in a special edition.

As noted by opalelement, some reference a digital-only or digital deluxe-only edition of the game, but it’s impossible to tell what is and isn’t. This code, too, likely comes from the forthcoming reveal of Hogwarts Legacy’s pre-order page on the website. Still, there’s some interesting stuff, as here is what opalelement found:

  • Thestral Mount
  • Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack
  • Dark Arts Battle Arena
  • Dark Arts Hat
  • 72 Hour Early Access
  • Kelpie Robe
  • Steel Case
  • Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book

The first four items are obviously in-game content, and it seemingly leans toward the Dark Arts of the Harry Potter world. Only people who have seen death may see a Thestral, after all, and to ride it with full Dark Arts cosmetics bodes well for those hoping to embrace the dark use of magic.

The early access isn’t surprising, but since this is the order listed on the site per opalelement, they speculate and it makes sense if the final items were all physical items. These could be associated with a Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition of some sort—revealing a robe, steel case, and some large figurine of a wand and book for those paying top dollar.

It does remain to be seen what these are, and it’s impossible to know if this hints at any bigger reveals for Hogwarts Legacy. These could have sat in the source code for some time, and for all fans know, this could have been updated since then. Ultimately, fans can probably expect this list or any of its changes to be confirmed whenever WB confirms Hogwarts Legacy’s release date.

Hogwarts Legacy is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
