There are a couple of Quests in Hogwarts Legacy players must complete to trigger the Phoenix Rising Quest, which allows them to rescue a Phoenix:

  • Niamh Fitzgerald's Trial Quest
  • All of Deek's side Quests concerning the Room of Requirement and rescuing Beasts.

At the end of the Foal of the Dead Quest in Hogwarts Legacy, Deek admits that his master died by falling from a cliff while trying to get a Phoenix egg. Upon completing Niamh Fitzgerald's Trial, Professor Weasley will send players an owl saying that Deek would like to speak with them. It turns out the Elf discovers that a group of poachers is targeting the Phoenix location and planning to abuse its rare materials.

Therefore, players must head to its location and rescue the rare Beast before it falls into the wrong hands.

To rescue a Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy, players must complete the Phoenix Rising Side Quest by entering the cave and using the Nab-Sack on the Hogwarts Legacy rare Beast. After triggering the Quest by talking to Deek, head to the marked location by either traveling the long distance using a Broom or fast travel via Floo Flame (if available). Once players arrive, enter the Phoenix Mountain Cave that's directly next to the Floo Flame.

Upon entering the cave, keep going in a straight line without turning left or right while jumping on higher platforms until a small tunnel appears. By crawling through it, players need to face a couple of poachers before reaching a balcony where they'll encounter the Phoenix for the first time. The creature will fly away, seemingly guiding players where to go.

  • Head right from the balcony and climb the ladder.

To complete the Quest in Hogwarts Legacy, return to the Room of Requirement and show Deek the majestic rare Beast as the Room creates a new Vivarium for the Phoenix.

Unfortunately, considering it's a rare Beast and there's no Phoenix Habitat on the map, there's only one in the entire game, making it impossible to breed more Phoenix.

Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions are currently in development.
