Many Harry Potter fans will soon have the chance to explore an open world version of Hogwarts, but not everyone will get to jump in on day one.The Hogwarts Legacy release date situation has become quite confusing. On February 7, those that have pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe or Collector's Edition of Hogwarts Legacy will get to start their adventure, despite the fact that the game's official release date isn't until February 10. And finally, the Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy won't be available until July 25.RELATED: Hogwarts Legacy Confirms How Many Achievements/Trophies Will Be in the GameAs if this whole situation wasn't confusing enough, now some Hogwarts Legacy fans have had their pre-orders canceled. Various posts on social media have shown that Hogwarts Legacy players are getting their pre-orders canceled and are confused as to why. WB Games Support has responded to those inquiring about their canceled Hogwarts Legacy pre-orders, and it apparently is because of the PS4/Xbox One version delay. This version of the game is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, which is causing the pre-order cancelation. Anyone impacted on PS5 and Xbox Series X should be able to pre-order the game again with no problem.

The reason why many Harry Potter fans have pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy is because of the added goodies it comes with. Retailing for $79.99, Hogwarts Legacy players that spring for the Digital Deluxe Edition get 72 hours early access, a Thestral mount, a Dark Arts-themed Battle Arena, and Dark Arts-themed cosmetics, including a Garrison Hat. The real draw is the early access, of course, but the other bonuses are icing on the cake.

It should be pointed out that those picking up Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation are getting the most complete experience. Hogwarts Legacy has some PlayStation-exclusive content for players to check out, including an entire quest set in Hogsmeade.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and the Nintendo Switch port dropping July 25.
