As more people progress through Avalanche Software's action RPG Hogwarts Legacy, many are building incredible Vivariums, including one player that spent over 40 hours creating a beach. The Vivarium is an expansion to the Hogwarts Legacy version of player housing known as the Room of Requirement, and this one looks like nowhere on the school grounds.

A Reddit user has garnered 2,300 upvotes on a video tour of their expansive beach Vivarium that shows where their over 40 hours of work went into. Though players can build their dream Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement without ever delving into the Vivarium content, there are a few expansions that they can progress toward to further their creative potential. Rather than level editors in games such as Far Cry 5, Halo Infinite, and Hot Wheels Unleashed, Hogwarts Legacy takes an approach that adds more as players progress, proving that this player had to do a lot of work just to get to the Vivarium upgrade.

Reddit user Present-Ground-1883 recently shared a clip of their Hogwarts Legacy Vivarium that highlights the many hours of work they put in by showing the many pieces that went into it. The beach Vivarium has castle walls, stairs, and arches strategically placed in the sand, with a Hogwarts Legacy Fwooper soaring through the air, a Hippogriff roaming in its own space, and several Kneazles pacing among the structures, statues, and vegetation. Present-Ground-1883 shows a central area that takes up most of the Vivariums square footage with impressive monuments like one of Hogwarts' animated statues, many large and small pumpkins, and appropriately spaced torches and small fires to light the way.

Present-Ground-1883 then goes on to some of the smaller parts of their Vivarium after spotlighting the stationary Hogwarts Legacy hippogriff statues, benches, and owl post. Crossing a bridge to a different area, Present-Ground-1883 walks through a small courtyard before facing what appears to be an unfinished portion of the level as the player shoots a cave wall with their wand. Taking the alternate path back, the Hogwarts Legacy player then shows the beach side of their biome that provides access to the water right in front of another animated statue that overlooks the final part of the unique creation.

Vivariums are unlockable biomes for the Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement, so other players can use the beach template like Present-Ground-1883, but their attention to detail may be difficult to mimic. Considering a lot of the pieces that went into the Hogwarts Legacy Vivarium are found from chests and other progression, the Present-Ground-1883 confirmed that they have spent over 110 hours of gameplay which allowed them to collect everything that went into the coastal biome.

Hogwarts Legacy is available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and is scheduled to release for PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, and Nintendo Switch on July 25.
