More information regarding the upcoming Harry Potter action-RPG Hogwarts Legacy will soon be revealed in the next gameplay showcase. The teaser from developer Avalanche Software promises a short tour of Hogwarts Castle, an in-depth look at character customization, the first look at the UI, and a short introduction to combat. Hogwarts Legacy has faced multiple delays during development but the latest release date of February 10 is fast approaching.The latest Hogwarts Legacy release date is for early next year which means it will not be much longer before gamers can explore Hogwarts. Taking place in the 19th century, players take control of a transfer student to Hogwarts that gets involved in a grand mystery encompassing all 4 of the famous Hogwarts Houses. While going through the action-RPG, players can acquire a companion from each of the Houses to join them in the magical adventure. A short teaser video released on Twitter shows the player character running into the Grand Hall of Hogwarts' Castle. A promised tour of Hogwarts' Castle will give fans a better look at the famous school though as mentioned earlier this year, there is no Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy, so exploring the playing grounds will have to wait for another game.

Hogwarts Legacy revealed parts of Hogwarts Castle earlier this year, though the guided tour during tomorrow's gameplay showcase might bring players into previously unrevealed locations. Tomorrow's gameplay showcase will be the first time fans can see the game's UI while the spell-based combat and character customization were previously revealed. The extent to which the environment plays into combat, barrels can be thrown around using spells and other objects can be utilized as cover, may be a topic of tomorrow's combat introduction.

It is clear that fans are excited and want to play Hogwarts Legacy. Reaction to the gameplay showcase announcement on Twitter among fans show that there is some concern over how the game will play, especially on Switch, but far more of the comments were expressing hopes for the character customization. For the most part, Harry Potter fans want the chance to explore Hogwarts, even if it is in a different time period that pre-dates the arrival of Dumbledore as a teacher.

Hogwarts Legacy will be available February 10th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X with a Switch version also in development.
