Good news for those Hogwarts Legacy fans who didn't manage to get hold of Merlin's Cloak, there will be more opportunities coming up in the future. This item is the rarest of all additional Hogwarts Legacy content, and the demand for it is clearly very high.Originally, there were only two opportunities for players to acquire the Merlin's Cloak and both were during Avalanche Software's Twitch streams. The first chance arose during the pre-launch stream for Hogwarts Legacy and the second one came around on the day of the main release. However, it seems that demand for it was way higher on the fan's side than Avalanche Software anticipated, and therefore it has decided to fix this issue.RELATED: Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Controller is Selling Out FastChandler Wood, Community Manager at Avalanche Software, posted very recently on his Twitter account about the good news that even if fans missed both streams, it doesn't mean they won't be able to get hold of Merlin's Cloak. He wrote, "We're planning more opportunities for you to get this cloak at various times over the next couple of weeks. More details to come." So nothing concrete has been said in the short, but to-the-point tweet, but the promise seems solid. It hopefully gives hope to those Hogwarts Legacy fans who missed out on the chance to claim Merlin's Cloak, as it seems that number was much higher than many would've preferred.

Fans welcomed the announcement with excitement. Some commented on the fact that both streams were during times when it might be difficult for some people in very different time zones to stay up and participate. This likely was one of the main causes for fans to ask for further opportunities, including the fact that they were during the workweek and the window of the streams was very limited. It does seem like there are plenty of Hogwarts Legacy fans out there who are eager to get hold of all content available out there.

It is possible Avalanche Software didn't anticipate the level of interest this item would generate and therefore underestimated how many people would actually want to take part in its streams. Although that seems strange, considering how popular Hogwarts Legacy has been on pre-order lists all over the world.

Hogwarts Legacy launched February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, and will release April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
