Earlier this year, Warner Bros. pulled the curtain back on the highly-anticipated Hogwarts Legacy with an extensive State of Play presentation that gave fans a deep dive into its gameplay, story, and more. The last bit of big information that Harry Potter fans are waiting on when it comes to Hogwarts Legacy is the release date, and while it's still unclear exactly when they'll get to play it, a recent leak suggests that some will be getting early access if they're willing to shell out extra cash.

Reddit user BattleDashBR claims to have leaked the contents for both the Hogwarts Legacy Collector's Edition and Deluxe Edition. The info matches an earlier leak, but has images to back up the claims. According to the leaked info, the Deluxe Edition of the game will include the base game, a thestral mount, a Dark Arts cosmetic pack, a Dark Arts battle arena, a Dark Arts garrison hat, 72 hours early access to the game, and a kelpie robe. The Collector's Edition comes with all that plus a steel case and a floating ancient magic wand with book, which is presumably a physical item, though that has not been clarified. The base game will only include the game, with no pre-order bonuses mentioned.

It's unclear exactly when the various versions of Hogwarts Legacy will go on sale, but it will likely happen when the game's release date is announced. As it stands, Hogwarts Legacy has no announced release date, but it's scheduled to launch at some point this holiday season. Considering this, one has to imagine that a Hogwarts Legacy release date announcement will be happening sooner rather than later.

There is a rumor that Sony may be hosting a State of Play presentation in September. If true, then it wouldn't be surprising at all for Hogwarts Legacy to make an appearance and announce its release date, as the game has been tied to the PlayStation brand since its first reveal in 2020. However, Sony has not officially announced plans for its next State of Play, so fans should keep their expectations in check.

Another possibility is that Warner Bros. will make the Hogwarts Legacy release date announcement completely independent of any big events. Fans have already been treated to a deep dive into Hogwarts Legacy gameplay, so one has to imagine that the next trailer will be cinematic and focus mainly on the release date, Collector's Edition contents, etc. However, all this is just speculation at this time; fans won't know for sure how it's all going to go down until the official announcements are made.

Hogwarts Legacy will launch later this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
