An early development-stage screenshot from Hogwarts Legacy leaked online showing the gear screen in the menu with the player character wearing a Quidditch uniform, suggesting that the fan-favorite sport was once a part of the game but was cut from the final version. Harry Potter fans have been quite upset that Quidditch would not be included in Hogwarts Legacy, but given that the game has released footage of so much diverse content, players can rest assured that there will be plenty of other activities to do around Hogwarts.

These days, video game leaks are quite common, and gamers are always traversing the internet with some trepidation for fear of stumbling upon spoilers for upcoming games that they are looking forward to. Similarly, a recent Hogwarts Legacy leak is being passed around that reveals the length of the game and shows off many screenshots that were not shown off by official footage or info releases.

YouTuber JorRaptor notices that the screenshot of the gear menu within this leak is from an early development stage of the game, as the official gameplay footage shows quite a different version of the menu. In this screenshot, the player character is seen wearing a Quidditch uniform, complete with pads and headgear, which heavily suggests that Quidditch was included in an early version of the game's development, but was later scrapped. Alternatively, the outfit could simply be one of the options players have to customzie their characters in the game and was never intended to be used in playable Quidditch matches. JorRaptor points out that this could mean a Hogwarts Legacy sequel that includes Quidditch or even a DLC for the game itself that allows players to play the sport, but that's just speculation, of course. The relevant portion of JorRaptor's video below starts at the "Quidditch was Part of the Game?" time-stamp at 3:16.

Another detail that JorRaptor points out is that the leak revealed information about several locations in the map that apparently did not finish development. Though Hogwarts Legacy has many unique locations for the player to explore, it seems not everything could make the final cut.

As Hogwarts Legacy reveals new characters in the game as well as new locations and gameplay mechanics, fans are getting more and more excited about the open-world adventure to finally be released next month. Players can look forward to jumping on a Hippogriff or a Broomstick and flying around the map as they learn about the Dark Arts and discover the mysteries of Ancient Magic in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy launches February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and the Switch version launching on July 25.
