Following a few delays, Hogwarts Legacy has finally arrived, letting fans live out their Wizarding World fantasies as a witch or wizard attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The game itself showcases Hogwarts and the surrounding area like Hogsmeade in the 19th century, well before the adventures of Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione. Inside Hogwarts Legacy, players create their own fifth year student at Hogwarts and are tasked with discovering why an ancient magic has returned before it can fall into the wrong hands.

Of course, players will have plenty of other things to do alongside the main story, including attending school itself. Hogwarts Legacy is an RPG style experience, so players can expect to not only customize their character, but continue progressing by learning spells and exploring locations like the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade, and other popular locations. The game also features plenty of NPC characters to get to know as well from classmates, professors, while crossing paths with various Dark Wizard as well.

While at school, players can take part in classes and learn valuable skills including potion crafting, which opens up a realm of possibilities. Naturally, creating potions involves having the correct resources on hand, some of which can be a bit troublesome to find. Fluxweed is an important resource in Hogwarts Legacy, both for finishing a particular assignment as well as crafting important potions. Here are all the ways players can find it.

What Does Fluxweed Stem Do?

Similar to other plants and ingredients like Shrivelfig Fruit, Fluxweed is an important resource to use when crafting potions. In fact, Fluxweed Stem is vital to brew the Focus Potion and Felix Felicis as well as completing Professor Sharp's assignments. Focus reduces the cooldown of spells when the player is drunk, while Felix Felicis increases player luck and reveals large loot chests on the mini-map for a full day. Players will likely need the recipe first, so make sure to head over to J. Pippin's Potions shop in Hogsmeade to purchase them.

Where to Find Fluxweed and Seeds

The best place to find Fluxweed and its seeds are down in the town of Hogsmeade. On the wester side of town, players will find a bearded individual known as Timothy Teasdale sitting next to a small cart with plants. This is The Magic Neep, a location that sells both herbs and seeds players can use for growing.

It's worth noting that these items won't come cheap as the Stem itself sells for 150 Galleons while seed packets go for 350 Galleons a piece. Players will want to ensure they've saved a bit of money in order to purchase these items as well as the materials needed to grow them inside of the Room of Requirement.

How to Grow Fluxweed

Once the Fluxweed Seeds are purchased, they can be grown inside the Room of Requirement, giving them access to a constant supply. However, the upfront cost of doing this is higher, as Fluxweed Seeds can only be planted in a large size pot, access to the Room of Requirement following the Jackdaw's Rest quest, as well as the conjuration spellcraft for the potting table. The individual large pots can be purchased at Thomas Brown's Tomes and Scrolls shop in Hogsmeade for about 1,000 Galleons. Once planted the Fluxweed seeds take about 15 minutes to grow which then become 5 Fluxweed Stems.

Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions are currently in development.
