An unlucky Hogwarts Legacy player recently discovered a glitch that traps the main character inside a table with no way out. This is just the latest Hogwarts Legacy bug that's been discovered by the community, which range from hilarious to serious enough to break the game.

Since its release last month, Hogwarts Legacy became one of the hottest games of the year. However, despite its overwhelming success, some parts of the game are still not working as intended by the developers. Just soon after the title launched, for example, a player already discovered a bug in which their robes would become messed up during the sorting ceremony. Open-world titles such as this one are huge efforts with several interactive parts, so it’s normal to find glitches.

Now, a new game-breaking bug was brought to light by Reddit user Severin_22, who got stuck inside a table and asked for help on social media. According to the gamer, it’s impossible to move, open the menu, map, or try any spell while stuck. Unfortunately, the previous auto-save of this player was already corrupted by this weird glitch, so they don’t know how to fix it.

Unlike a recent glitch in which the player’s camera got stuck in a frog, there is no easy solution for this issue such as fast traveling. According to Gmb1t, who suffered from the same problem, the best course of action is to close the game immediately and reload a prior save. Trying to escape may only cause further auto-saves to corrupt “good” saves, potentially wrecking the gamer’s save file forever. Gmb1t believes that this weird occurrence may trigger when the player destroys furniture and then immediately saves, as the objects spawn back after loading. So, avoiding that and having multiple manual saves is a good idea.

Fortunately, not all bugs need to be game-breaking, and some can be even fun to watch. Recently, another player was trying out the Merlin Trials in Hogwarts Legacy when their trial was ruined by a physics glitch. This gamer was trying to roll a stone ball using magic but lost control and the object flew right into the Black Lake. While there was some frustration in not being able to finish the challenge at the time, it was easy to restart it, and it made for a pretty entertaining video.

Hogwarts Legacy players who find bugs should report them to Avalanche Software. To do it, they need to visit the official Warner Bros. website and click on the Report a Bug button. This way, upcoming patches can make it less likely that gamers will find more of these game-breaking problems.

Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming April 4 and a Switch release dropping July 25.
