Hogwarts Legacy allows players to roleplay as a student at the best-known wizarding school in the world, and one player decided that this wasn't enough and instead plays as Voldemort, showing his ruthless nature by executing a no-holds-barred beatdown on Professor Matilda Weasley. Professor Weasley is the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts and is related to Ron Weasley, one of the main supporting characters from the famous Harry Potter series of novels. She also introduces the player to the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts Legacy.

The events of Hogwarts Legacy take place in the late 1800s. This is some time before the Voldemort attends wizarding school; his first year would have been in 1938, which is decades after the events of the game. In his time at Hogwarts he was known as Tom Marvolo Riddle; this was revealed in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets when Harry Potter comes into possession of a diary that belonged to the future Voldemort. One can only wonder how Voldemort would have fared against the strongest witches and wizards in Hogwarts Legacy, although it seems unlikely that his rise to power would have been any different regardless of when he attended Hogwarts.

A Reddit user by the name of doomed_lifeform shared a video where their Hogwarts Legacy character (Voldemort) attacks and kills Professor Weasley. It takes about 20 seconds before the ill-fated professor is lying face down after enduring a barrage of powerful spells, at which point Voldemort casually walks away, presumably on his way to find his next victim. This appears to have been made possible through the use of mods. There is a Voldemort character mod available on NexusMods, while the mod that allows players to attack other students and professors is only available to Jedijosh920 subscribers on Patreon.

There are also a few spells that Voldemort uses in this video that players might not recognize. This is yet another Hogwarts Legacy mod that adds spells to the game. While mods are unfortunately unavailable to console players, they open up a seemingly infinite range of possibilities for PC gamers, often far removed from what the developers intended.

Watching Voldemort mercilessly destroy an innocent Professor Weasley is somewhat uncomfortable and might be disturbing to some. Thankfully, there are plenty of friendlier mods. Some Hogwarts Legacy mods are downright silly and might provide some comedic relief to those who find doomed_lifeform's video disagreeable.

Hogwarts Legacy is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4 and Xbox One versions launching May 5 and a Switch port releasing July 25.
