According to the Reddit user, they had been working on the various Pokemon-themed designs for nearly a year. They noted that the artwork was part of a project they had done for a fantasy league they were involved in.
Unsurprisingly, both members of the Pokemon community and NHL fans on Reddit have taken notice of these reimagined logos for professional hockey teams. In the few hours since ChuggernautChug posted the artwork, a number of gamers have already commented on the designs. Among the comments, many were impressed with how the artist was able to seamlessly blend the team logos with that of numerous Pokemon. For instance, one gamer liked the inclusion of the Kyogre design for the Vancouver Canucks, noting that the team even wore similar colors to the pocket monster in the past.
