About a couple of months ago, it was announced that the long-running stealth-action video game series known as Hitman officially received a new publisher as the development company IO Interactive teamed up with Warner Bros. Interactive Games to continue bringing fans titles starring Agent 47. Now, it looks as if the publisher is set to make an announcement soon, as Warner Bros. Interactive recently teased the reveal of some kind of content related to the property soon.

As seen in the tweet below, Hitman fans should expect IO Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Games to unveil something related to the stealth-action franchise on June 7, 2018, which will be just a few short days from now. Unfortunately, though, nothing has been explicitly stated other than the tease that "the profiles have been uploaded", which indicates that Agent 47 could have several new targets to take down in some way, shape, or form.

Taking into account the fact that the most recent Hitman game was initially released as an episodic experience, the aforementioned tease from Warner Bros. Interactive Games is quite possibly an indication that the title will receive some Season 2 content. However, there's also the chance that the IO Interactive-developed release may simply reveal a new Elusive Target later this week for players to track.

All things considered, we will simply have to wait and see what kind of announcement IO Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Games has in store for fans this Thursday, but it's definitely great to see that more materials seem to be planned for Hitman. After all, it was revealed a while back that the game managed to surpass 5 million players since its launch, with the fan base likely craving new content to sink their teeth into.

Hitman is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
